The Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub in Dubai serves to empower and accelerate the aerospace industry, playing a key role in its development. It targets both commercial aviation and private jets and their service providers as customers. Thus, it creates an integrated ecosystem with a wide range of air and ground solutions suitable for multinational companies and SMEs, which are thus closely linked to the airlines and private jets of the region and the world. Strategic location: MBRAH is a global gateway to the world, forming a bridge between East and West. A third of the world’s population can be reached in just four hours. Al Maktoum International Airport is the largest international airport with 220 + million passengers and 16 million tons of cargo. https://www.mbraerospacehub.ae
DUBAI SOUTH
Dubai South, which includes MBRAH, covers an area of 145 square kilometers divided into eight districts (MBR Aerospace Hub, Al Maktoum International Airport, Logistics District, Residential District, Expo2020 District, Gulf District, Commercial District, Humanitarian District), with each district dedicated to a specific sector. It is home to 20 institutions, 500 companies, and the Emirates Sky Central.
A 100% foreign ownership status is offered when companies locate there. Dubai South is subject to free zone administration.
Also important for seamless connectivity is the close connection to Dubai International Airport, Abu Dhabi International Airport, and Jebel Ali Port. https://www.dubaisouth.ae
MASTERPLAN
Part of the master plan is the supply chain to serve the growing MRO market and the aerospace industry. This is where the Aerospace Supply Chain Facility serves. The Supplier’s Complex allows companies to start up quickly. The Helicopter Center is home to companies related to helicopters. The Educational Center provides training for pilots, professionals, and technicians. The Light Industrial Zone is designed to attract manufacturers related to aviation.
Building blocks are therefore Commercial Aviation, Aircraft & Part Maintenance MROs, an Education Cluster (simulators are of interest here), and Offices & Retails (they are of interest to FBOs, Aircraft management companies, Air charter companies, financial, legal, and insurance companies, all other aviation-related companies). Besides Emirates, partners include Boeing, Lufthansa Technik, Falcon, Jet Aviation…
